An Update from John Q, Owner at Sunrise Tower

Greetings Sunrise Tower Owners,

I hope this message finds you well. As an Owner at Sunrise Tower, I wanted to provide an update on some of the challenges we are facing, and share my thoughts on how we can work together to overcome them.

Firstly, let me introduce myself. My name is John Q, and I’ve been an owner at Sunrise Tower since 2007. I have a long history in the real estate investment business. I have built and managed large and small projects. All have been successful. My expertise and knowledge have allowed me contrubute to our community. At Sunrise Tower, our Boards have overseen several major projects And I have been pleased to have served on many of these collegial boards for over a decade.

Sunrise Tower is facing some serious challenges in the coming years. I believe that with sound practices, we can save hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not more. ST has many major, expensive projects ahead. As someone who has overseen numerous commercial, office, and residential developments, I am confident that my experience will be valuable as we move forward.

It is important that all board members do their jobs, act in the best interests of ST, and avoid conflicts of interest. Unfortunately, there have been some issues in the past where this has not been the case. By insisting on accountability, myself and another board member have become the targets of vicious attacks. In spite of this, I remain committed to doing what’s best for our community.

We have also faced significant financial challenges, including a major uninsured lawsuit, overspending, and looming special assessments of $30,000+ per unit. While these issues are concerning, I believe that we can come together to find a solution.

There has been a steady current of self-promotion, self-benefit, politics, sabotage, and undermining by some in our community. This has hindered our progress. ST can pull together to do better. I have some cost-effective solutions that I believe will help us save money, and would be happy to discuss them with the owners directly.
